The Government and Opposition seem to want to increase the price in order toi cut down on drinking. Do they really think that will stop the binge drinkers? For those with families it will simply reduce the money going into the home and the family will suffer. For the single young people it will increase debt. The only people it will effect are those on fixed incomes (pensioners). It will of course give the Government more tax by way of VAT. It will also increase the profits of the supermarkets. That should should be enough to increase the price of alcohol.
