I owe £30k and have just lost my job and am having difficulty making repayments. I live with my boyfriend in a rented flat an we are not married. If I died, would he legally have to pay the debts of mine or would they be written off? I have no other assets either by myself or with him.
what about my parents? They are still alive so if my boyfriend didn't have to pay the debts would they be left with them? They are retired and live in rented accommodation too and have no other income or assetts.
I have no will, as I have nothing but debts
who would have to pay the funeral expenses??
