Any suggestions? Its a basic, registry-office ceremony with just close family.
(We can't really afford anything fancy and don't want to get into debt - we have been together 4 years, have a house and a mortgage and a 18 month old son, which are more important financial priorities than a wedding!)
He doesn't own a decent suit so we'll either have to buy or hire one.
For myself I was thinking of wearing a very pretty purple silk chinese dress I've had for a while, but I tried it on tonight and it was really tight (I've put weight on!). Not sure what else I could wear, I don't want to go white-and-frilly.
And if I did wear the purple silk dress I can't decide on shoes! Plain black?!
Also what about our son - I can't see a toddler putting up with a tuxedo and as his dad probably won't be wearing one it would be out of place. Any ideas for what to dress the little lad in?
