I moved in to this falt with a friend. it was expensive but he promised to replace me with one of his mates a few months later.
This never happened, and to make matters worse he's a student and he doesnt pay council tax. I just get a 25% discount. Now, the bills are pilling up like crazy and i cannot cope. I've got a second job in the evenings just to have money for food. I've stopped smoking and stopped going out. I admit, I am not good with money and i shouldnt have moved in in the 1st place.
Now I am being paid on monday. 1000 quid which will all go to backdated rent and bills. or... i can move to a smaller room in a shared house, all inclusive and stop it from growing. But my contract ends in June and the bills will be pilling up even if i move!!
Is there any way i can i get out of the contract? I'm thinking of a debt management agency. How does it work? How much will they charge and will it affect my credit rating?
I know and i want to pay my dues up to here, but i need one months breeding space and it will all be easier aferwards. I cannot cope with this, the realtionship with my flatmate is getting really bad and i'll litereally go mental
it is a VERY small debt! Only about 2000 quid, but its pilling up and its affecting my mental health and my work and personnal life
