I want to remortgage my existing property (which is fully paid off) to raise capital for a property in Turkey I bought. I need to raise around £50K. The thing is my savings have gone into the deposit. I am not concerned as my wages are fairly good, so not in any difficulty. My question is, would it be a good idea to go into an offset mortgage, given I wont have atleast £5Kof savings for a couple of months?
I like the fact that I can make additional payments to pay the debt of early and incur no charges.
