I have a significant amount of savings, should I tell my new partner about them?

We can help you consolidate your existing debt into one manageable amount to pay each month.

I've always been a saver and over the years have built up quite a considerable amount of money, without going into a lot of details I'm now in a relationship with someone who is very special to me and I feel that we have a future together. She has been very open with me and states that she's got a few debts here and there which obviously will need paying off, hence my wanting to help her clear said debts. I feel that the time is right now to tell her about my savings, I really enjoy seeing my girlfriend happy and love to make her smile, I'll often buy her little gifts which means so much to her. The only other person that does know about my savings is my mother and she states that by telling people then I'm setting myself up for trouble and that she'd "expect me" to pay off her debts, what do you think I should do? what would you do?

Thank you so much for your help :)
