I posted yesterday, regarding lending my SIL money, over £700 a year ago.We've only had two hundred back.We've taken a massive slump in income lately,she knows this.It's always " I'll have money for you soon ".She and her husband work.We have now had to go to debt management team as we can't pay our mortgage next month.I found out last night she and her husband are going on holiday abroad this week, with their two (alot older) children.I was very friendly with her, I'm just so hurt.We have three children under 7 years of age ( two under 3) and I feel sick all the time, I was up at 1am this morning worrying out of my mind.I don't understand how she could hurt us,the money we lent her got her out of a very sticky situation.She knows we're stuck right now.My DH is hurt but is just focusing on getting in as much money as we can.She knew it would hurt as we heard from a third party that she's going.
Am I overreacting?Please,no sarky answers I haven't got the will to retaliate! :o)
I should've said in opening post but she's my husband's sister although I still think maybe something should be said.My husband says he won't let it drop and not to worry but I am worried.That's it now,I'll never ever trust her again or be anywhere near the same to her.Thanks for all your replies, it's reassuring to know I'm not a drama queen.
We know the holiday is true....she admitted it when DH called her last night, no mention of money.
